   1 If a maintainer closes a bug, and after a single round of explanation,
   2 still does not agree with reopening the bug, the bug should stay
   3 closed.

   5 If you disagree with the maintainer, then your choices are to either
   6 attempt to:

   8 1) convince the maintainer that your viewpoint is correct, preferably
   9 by submitting a patch which fixes the perceived problem, along with
  10 rationale as to why the patch is correct.

  12 2) attempt to convince the technical committee that the maintainer is
  13 incorrect, and should be overridden. This necessitates a patch as
  14 required for #1.

  16 In neither case should you reopen bugs that a maintainer has
  17 closed.[1] Continuing to do so will result in restricting your use of
  18 control@bugs.debian.org.

  24 maintainer is likely to agree with you, but that is clearly not the
  25 case here.
