   2 Subject: Call for (self-)nominations for technical committee seats

   4 First and foremost, the technical committee would like to thank Don
   5 Armstrong and Andreas Barth for serving on the committee in addition
   6 to their many other services to Debian. Both of their terms will
   7 expire on December 31st 2016, and there will be two empty seats which
   8 can be filled.

  10 To fill these seats, we are soliciting nominations, including
  11 self-nominations. To nominate yourself or someone else, please send
  12 e-mail to debian-ctte-private@debian.org with the subject "CTTE
  13 Nomination of loginname", where loginname is the nominee's Debian
  14 account login.[1] Please let us know in the body of the e-mail why the
  15 nominee would be a good fit for the committee, specifically instances
  16 where the nominee was able to help resolve disagreements, both
  17 technical and non-technical.

  19 Being a member of the committee does require a time commitment.
  20 Members should be able to follow e-mail discussions on an ongoing
  21 basis and respond within a couple of days so that discussions
  22 progress. Members should ideally be able to spend 10 hours a month
  23 for relatively busy months, but typical time requirements will be
  24 less.

  26 We anticipate starting our selection process on or about the first of
  27 October. After the selection, the committee will then recommend
  28 nominees to the project leader, who may appoint the nominees (§6.2).
