   1     A maintainer recently peremptorily removed support for upstart
   2     from one of their packages.

   4     The Technical Committee thanks Steve Langasek for bringing this
   5     matter to our attention.  We are pleased that the maintainer has
   6     agreed to revert the disputed change.

   8     For the record, the TC expects maintainers to continue to support
   9     the multiple available init systems in Debian.  That includes
  10     merging reasonable contributions, and not reverting existing
  11     support without a compelling reason.
