# Zero Waste Event #

Laurel and Don share a mutual love of the outdoors and enjoy hiking,
camping, and kayaking together. Together, they try to make choices
that will keep the world beautiful and healthy for them, their
children, and many people in the future. In the spirit of stewardship
and respect for natural resources, they ask your help in making this
wedding weekend as close as possible to a Zero Waste Event.

Zero Waste Events are events where no new trash is created which must
be stored in a landfill. This is accomplished by minimizing the use of
new materials (by doing things like using reusable dishes) and
choosing recyclable materials when new materials are needed. The heart
of Zero Waste is the acknowledgement that the Earth is a closed system
and humans cannot afford to convert precious natural resources into
landfill waste.

Please help us in being good stewards of the earth and working toward
a sustainable humanity.
