   3 Laurel and Don share a mutual love of the outdoors and enjoy hiking,
   4 camping, and kayaking together. Together, they try to make choices
   5 that will keep the world beautiful and healthy for them, their
   6 children, and many people in the future. In the spirit of stewardship
   7 and respect for natural resources, they ask your help in making this
   8 wedding weekend as close as possible to a Zero Waste Event.

  10 Zero Waste Events are events where no new trash is created which must
  11 be stored in a landfill. This is accomplished by minimizing the use of
  12 new materials (by doing things like using reusable dishes) and
  13 choosing recyclable materials when new materials are needed. The heart
  14 of Zero Waste is the acknowledgement that the Earth is a closed system
  15 and humans cannot afford to convert precious natural resources into
  16 landfill waste.
