+This document is a reference of common procedures and practice for
+Debian's CTTE.

+Appointment of the Chair of the CTTE
+------------------------------------
+
+In general, the procedure in Â§6.1.7 should be followed.
+
+Re-appointment of chair after membership change
+===============================================
+
+When new members are appointed to the CTTE or within three months of a
+member resigning from the CTTE, the current chairperson should
+announce their intention to vacate the position within two weeks.
+
+This will force a new election to which all members of the CTTE
+(including the vacating chair if the chair is still a member) are
+eligible.
