[[!meta title="Cincinnati Chili"]] 2910 cal/recipe ## Ingredients + 12 oz dry whole wheat spaghetti + 2 tsp olive oil + 1 medium onion + 3 cloves garlic + 2 tbsp chili powder + 1 tbsp cocoa powder + 1 tbsp brown sugar + 1 tsp ground cinnamon + 2 tsp ground cumin + 2 tsp salt + 1 tsp black pepper + 28 oz can crushed tomatoes + 15 oz can kidney beans + 15 oz can navy beans + 1 c shredded cheddar cheese ## Directions + Break spaghetti in thirds and cook in large pot of boiling, salted water. + Drain spaghetti. + In large saucepan, heat oil to med-high, and saute onion and garlic. + After 3 min, add chili powder, cocoa, cinnamon, cumin, salt, and pepper. + Cook 1 min, and then add tomatoes. + Simmer 8 min to slightly thicken. + Add beans and heat through. + Top spaghetti with sauce and cheese.
