   7 NeuroDebian repository snapshotting

  10 The official Debian snapshotting service (http://snapshot.debian.org) allows
  11 obtaining any version of any software that was ever present in Debian, and
  12 provides a complete state of the Debian archive with all software versions
  13 corresponding to a specific date.  We are going to adopt this service to
  14 provide this functionality for the NeuroDebian repository itself, thus
  15 covering backports of our packages for all supported Debian and Ubuntu
  16 releases, as well as staging packages that have not been accepted into Debian,
  17 but may already be used by researchers.  Used in conjunction with the official
  18 Debian snapshotting repository, it would allow for the reconstruction of
  19 entire research environments or simply for installation of a particular
  20 previous version of a product of interest.
