7 + 1 lb 11 oz uncooked whole wheat shells
9 + 2 large onions, chopped
10 + 12 cloves garlic, minced
12 + 2 15-oz can chickpeas
14 + 1 tbsp ground coriander
15 + 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
16 + 3/4 tsp crushed red pepper
17 + 3 28-oz can crushed tomatoes
19 + 1 c grated pecorino romano cheese
23 + Heat pot of salted water to boil, cook pasta, and then drain.
24 + In large pot, saute onions in oil until tender.
25 + Add garlic and salt and cook briefly.
26 + Stir in chickpeas, cumin, coriander, cinnamon, and red pepper and cook briefly.
27 + Stir in tomatoes and mint, stirring well to lift food stuck to bottom.
28 + Simmer 5 minutes and then add shells.
29 + Dish and then top with cheese.
