9 + 6 lbs pork (such as picnic roast cut)
10 + 2 "McCormick's Bourbon and Brown Sugar" seasoning packets
13 + 1 cup packed brown sugar
15 + 6-oz real sugar cola soda (such as Mexican Coca-Cola)
17 + 24 slices Havarti cheese
21 + Remove pork from packaging. Drain liquid. Rub with McCormick seasoning.
22 + Top chilis and slice lengthwise.
23 + Slice apple into 1/8-inch slices.
24 + Place pork in large crockpot. Top with chilis and apple.
25 + Distribute sugar, beer, and soda over the top.
26 + Cook on medium heat for at least 20-24 hours.
27 + Use forks to separate and mix meat.
28 + Serve meat warm with rolls and cheese.
31 Mark makes this recipe with 12(!) serranos. With 3 serranos the sweet is just as prominent as the spice. Put in 4 to make spicy the front flavor.
