11 + 4 green onions, chopped
13 + 6 tbsp all-purpose flour
15 + 3/4 tsp ground black pepper
16 + 1/3 tsp red pepper flakes
17 + 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
18 + 1 1/2 c grated cheddar cheese
21 + 1 15-oz can sliced potatoes
25 + Set out corn to warm.
26 + Melt butter in large pot over medium-high heat until starting to foam.
27 + Add green onions and sugar.
28 + Cook until soft, about 1 min.
29 + Lower heat to medium and stir in flour and spices.
30 + Cook, stirring constantly, until golden.
31 + Add broth and then whisk until flour is dissolved.
32 + Add broth, corn, and potatoes and simmer for at least 10 min.
33 + Stir frequently to prevent milk from sticking and burning.
34 + Stir in cheese until barely melted.
