9 + 1 c all-purpose flour
11 + 2 rounded tbsp white sugar
12 + 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
14 + 1/4 c melted butter, plus 1 tbsp
20 + Preheat oven to 400 F.
21 + In a medium bowl, stir together flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
22 + In a small bowl, combine beaten eggs, milk, and melted butter.
23 + Add egg mixture to flour mixture and stir until just moistened.
24 + Add the 1 tbsp butter to a 10 inch cast-iron skillet and place skillet in oven until butter melts (3 min).
25 + Remove skillet from oven and swirl to coat bottom and sides with butter.
26 + Pour batter into hot skillet.
27 + Bake until skewer inserted in middle comes out clean (15 min).
