   9  elastix is open source software, based on the well-known Insight
  10  Segmentation and Registration Toolkit (ITK). The software consists of
  11  a collection of algorithms that are commonly used to solve (medical)
  12  image registration problems. The modular design of elastix allows the
  13  user to quickly configure, test, and compare different registration
  14  methods for a specific application. A command-line interface enables
  15  automated processing of large numbers of data sets, by means of
  16  scripting.
